Cindy Paskey, Executive Director

As Executive Director of Child Advocacy Centre Niagara, Cindy is responsible for organizational development and fundraising.
She holds the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation and a combined major, Business Administration/Psychology degree. More than 15 years of human resources experience includes the roles of Assistant Director, Human Resources, Brock University and Director, Human Resources, Brain Injury Community Re-entry (Niagara) Inc. She served as Vice President, Public for the CMLTO, the governing body for Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario and is a Past President for the Human Resources Professionals Association of Niagara (HRPAN).
She is a Kiwanis member, St. Catharines. She is also the founding member of the Canadian Anaphylaxis Initiative, a non-profit group engaged at the federal level in advocacy and awareness raising of anaphylaxis (life threatening allergies). Locally, she is President of NASK (Niagara Anaphylaxis Awareness and Knowledge). In 2008 she received a national award recognizing her leadership in passing Sabrina’s Law - provincial legislation that increases safety for Ontario students at risk of anaphylaxis. In 2011, she received a YWCA Women of Distinction Award for her continued work as an advocate and spokesperson for increased safety for people living with life threatening allergies.
Kate Twigger, Family Advocate
Kate Twigger began working with us in September of 2010 as a Researcher and Community Engagement Coordinator. Kate is a recent graduate from Brock University with a Masters Degree and Honours BA in Child and Youth Studies. For her graduate work, Kate received a Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada – Graduate Scholarship and a Dean of Graduate Studies Excellence Scholarship. In the summer of 2011 Kate began the role of Family Advocate in which she provides support and advocacy services to children and their families who come to the centre.
Kaley Stewart, Fundraising/Administrative Assistant
Kaley Stewart began working with us in the role of Fundraising/Administrative Assistant in March 2012. Kaley graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours BA in Communication Studies, followed by a Post-Graduate Event Management program, with Distinction, from Conestoga College. Kaley has previously worked as a fundraising assistant for a hospital foundation and has volunteered at a children’s foundation as well.
